Central Auditory Processing Disorder

Persons with this central disorder experience hearing difficulties, especially in noise; yet when tested, their hearing sensitivity for tones is good and there are no apparent pathologies. Nevertheless, they experience communications problems caused by impairment of the cerebral cortex or brainstem.
